Biography
Eric Tuchman is an American screenwriter and television producer. He holds a BA from Brandeis University and an MFA from Columbia University, and grew up in Seaford, New York.
He wrote the animation adaptation for the 1997 film Anastasia and has contributed as a writer and executive producer on the series The Handmaid's Tale (2017–2025). Tuchman served as showrunner on Kyle XY (2006–2009) and has written episodes of series including Eureka, Alphas, Beauty and the Beast and Stitchers.
For his work on The Handmaid's Tale, Tuchman shared a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2017, along with a Producers Guild of America Award and two Writers Guild of America Awards. He received an Annie Award nomination for Anastasia.
