Biography
Eric van Haren Noman is a Dutch cinematographer born on 7 June 1943 in Alkmaar, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. He began his career as a camera assistant in England and later worked as a camera operator and Panaglide operator on feature films including The Man Who Would Be King (1975), Days of Heaven (1978), Victory (1981) and the Friday the 13th sequels (1981–1982).
He has served as director of photography on numerous television films and series, notably 20 episodes of Desperate Housewives (2007–2009). Noman is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers and the Netherlands Society of Cinematographers. His television work includes many Hallmark Hall of Fame productions.
Noman has received several Emmy Awards and nominations, including a Primetime Emmy for outstanding cinematography for a miniseries or movie for What the Deaf Man Heard (1998) and a Daytime Emmy in 1982.
