Biography
Erica Lipez is an American television writer and producer. She began her screen career as a staff writer on the Fox series Lone Star (2010) and later worked as a story editor and writer on Suits (2011–2014).
She has written episodes of Bates Motel (2013–2017), The Morning Show (2019–2021), Tell Me Your Secrets (2021), Julia (2022) and We Were the Lucky Ones (2024), on several of which she also served as producer or showrunner. In 2026 she wrote an episode of the Amazon Prime Video series Sterling Point.
Lipez trained as a playwright, earning an MFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2009 after attending Harvard University. Her stage work includes plays developed or produced at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Yale Summer Cabaret and Second Stage.
