Biography
Erik Richter Strand is a Norwegian director and writer. He was born on 17 September 1974 in Bergen.
Strand directed four episodes of the Netflix series The Crown across its fifth and sixth seasons. He also directed the six-part Netflix series Behind Her Eyes (2021). He created, wrote and directed the Norwegian series Valkyrien (2017), which was later remade in the UK as Temple. Earlier credits include directing and writing episodes of Occupied (2015) and the feature film Sons (2006). More recently, he directed and executive produced the ITV series I Fought the Law (2025).
