Biography
Erin Casper is a documentary film editor and writer. She graduated from the University of Iowa with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Art. After moving to New York, she began working in post-production on documentaries and was mentored by editor Jonathan Oppenheim.
Casper edited and co-wrote Fire of Love (2022), which won the Sundance Jonathan Oppenheim Editing Award and an American Cinema Editors Eddie Award. Her other editing credits include Becoming (2020), Risk (2016) and American Promise (2013), for which she received a News & Documentary Emmy nomination. She has also written for several documentary projects.
She has served as an editing advisor for the Sundance Institute and other labs, and is a board member of the Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellowship.
