Biography
Erkki Pajala was a Finnish actor who worked in theatre, television and film. Born in Jyväskylä, he appeared in productions from the mid-1950s until his death in 1992. He played the miner in Aki Kaurismäki’s Ariel (1988).
Pajala was known for his television roles, including Alpo Nieminen in the series Elämänmeno. He received a Jussi Award for his performance in the television film Manillaköysi (1976). He was married to actress Eeva-Maija Haukinen; their son Turo Pajala was also an actor.
