Biography
Esther Hall is an English actress. Born in Manchester in 1970 and raised in Cheshire, she studied theatre arts at Bretton Hall College, part of the University of Leeds, where she obtained a BA degree.
Her first high-profile role was as Romey Sullivan in the Channel 4 series Queer as Folk (1999–2000). Subsequent television work includes Ellie Simm in Spooks (2002–2003), Dr Felix Gibson in Waking the Dead (2005), and appearances in Rome (2005–2007), Midsomer Murders, Black Mirror, Killing Eve and The Capture. She has also performed on stage, including as Lady Macbeth in a 2014 production at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester.
