Biography
Evangeline Harrison, also credited as Vangie Harrison and Evangeline Averre, is a British costume designer with more than forty credits in film and television.
Born in 1934 in Brentford, Middlesex, she trained at Ealing Art School and the Central School of Art in London. Early work included theatre seasons at Stratford-upon-Avon and Glyndebourne, followed by commercials and her first film credit as assistant costume designer on Blow-Up (1966).
Her notable designs include Get Carter (1971), Juggernaut (1974), Superman III (1983), A Christmas Carol (1984) and the television series Bramwell (1995–98). She received a BAFTA Television Craft Award nomination for Best Costume Design for Churchill: The Wilderness Years (1981).
