Biography
Evans Evans (born Evans White Greenstreet; 26 November 1932 – 16 June 2024) was an American actress. She studied at Randolph-Macon Women's College and Yale Drama School, and appeared on Broadway in the late 1950s, including in The Dark at the Top of the Stairs (1957).
She is best known for her role as Velma Davis in the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde. Other credits include All Fall Down (1962), The Iceman Cometh (1973), Prophecy (1979) and Dead Bang (1989), together with television appearances in The Twilight Zone (1961), Gunsmoke (1961) and Alfred Hitchcock Presents. She was married to director John Frankenheimer from 1963 until his death in 2002, and appeared in several of his films.
