Biography
Eysteinn Sigurðarson is an Icelandic actor. Born in Reykjavík, he was raised in Madison, Wisconsin, in the United States. He studied English and creative writing at the University of Wisconsin before completing a BA in acting at the Iceland University of the Arts in 2015. After graduating he joined the ensemble at the Reykjavik City Theatre.
His screen debut was as Hjálmar in the Icelandic series Trapped (2015–2016). He played the lead role of Einar in the mini-series Mannasiðir (2018), for which he received a nomination for best male leading role at the Edda Awards. In 2020 he appeared as Lazlo in the mini-series Devs and as Curt in the film The Courier. From 2020 to 2022 he played Sigtryggr in seasons four and five of The Last Kingdom.
