Biography
F. Lee Bailey was an American criminal defence attorney who appeared in numerous documentaries and television programmes as himself. He was born Francis Lee Bailey Jr. on 10 June 1933 in Waltham, Massachusetts, and died on 3 June 2021.
Bailey first gained national prominence as counsel in the 1960s retrial of Sam Sheppard. He later represented Albert DeSalvo in the Boston Strangler case, Patty Hearst, and US Army Captain Ernest Medina in connection with the My Lai Massacre. He was a member of the defence team, known as the "Dream Team", in the 1995 trial of O. J. Simpson.
His film and television credits include appearances in O.J.: Made in America (2016) and episodes of E! True Hollywood Story (1996).
