Biography
Fano Messan (1902–1998) was a French actress, sculptor, painter and model. She trained at the École supérieure des beaux-arts de Toulouse and moved to Paris at the age of 16 to work as a sculptor.
Messan appeared in two films. She played a telephone operator in L'Argent (1928) and the hermaphrodite (uncredited) in Un Chien Andalou (1929). She was photographed by Man Ray and took part in the Parisian cultural scene of the late 1920s.
