Biography
Farid Sajjadi Hosseini is an Iranian actor, director and assistant director. Born in April 1949 in Ahvaz, he studied English and trained in theatre in Tehran under Mahin Eskoui, joining her group in the late 1960s. He began working in film and television in the early 1990s.
He is known for his role as Piremard in Asghar Farhadi’s The Salesman (2016). He has also appeared in Italy Italy (2017) and numerous other films and series, and directed television series including Banoo (2009) and Mehrabad (2011). He received the House of Cinema award for best supporting actor for his performance in The Salesman.
