Biography
Farrel Levy is a film and television editor and director. She trained at the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and the University of Michigan. Her early credits include work as associate editor on Dirty Dancing (1987) and first assistant editor on Ernest Saves Christmas (1988).
Levy was one of the first editors on the series NYPD Blue (1993), serving as editor for 90 episodes across its run and directing three episodes between 1997 and 2001. She later edited episodes of series including Criminal Minds, Nashville and The Good Doctor. She has taught editing at the American Film Institute for over twenty years and is a founder of the organisation Look What SHE Did!.
