Biography
Fejria Deliba is a French actress, screenwriter and director. She grew up in a housing estate in the Val-de-Marne suburbs of Paris as the seventh of nine children. In 1985 she appeared in the music video for Daniel Balavoine's L'Aziza. She trained with free acting classes run by the City of Paris and with Yves Pignot, later attending the École du Théâtre national de Chaillot (1987–1989) under Antoine Vitez, where she began a stage career.
Deliba made her screen debut in 1988 in Jean-Claude Brisseau's Sound and Fury and Jacques Rivette's Gang of Four. Her film roles include Mina in Sound and Fury (1988), Anna in Gang of Four (1989), Zouina in Inch'Allah dimanche (2001), Nadia in All That Glitters (2010), the lawyer in By the Grace of God (2019) and Leïla in One Fine Morning (2022). She has also appeared regularly in French television series.
As a director, Deliba made the award-winning short Le Petit chat est mort (1991) and her first feature Two Birds, One Stone (2016), which received positive critical notices. She has won several awards for her acting and directing work.
