Biography
Felicia Pride is an American writer, producer, director and author. She has written for the television series Queen Sugar (2019–2021) and Grey's Anatomy (2020–2022), where she also served as executive story editor and producer on some episodes. Her other television credits include Bel-Air (2024–2025) as writer and co-executive producer.
Pride wrote and executive produced the feature film Really Love (2020). As a director, she made her debut with the short film tender (2020), which received the STARZ/Lionsgate Short Film Award at the BlackStar Film Festival. She followed this with the short Look Back at It (2023). She is the creator, showrunner and executive producer of the A Different World sequel series, which premiered on Netflix in 2026.
Pride is the founder of the independent media and production company HONEY CHILE. She holds a BA from Towson University and an MA from Emerson College, and is the author of several books.
