Biography
Félim Gormley is an Irish actor and saxophonist. He was born on 4 April 1969 in Ireland. He is known for playing Dean Fay, the alto saxophonist in the band, in the 1991 film The Commitments directed by Alan Parker, and reprised the role in the 1992 music video The Commitments: Mustang Sally.
Gormley appeared as Roger in the 2014 film Poison Pen. He has worked as a musician on the Late Show with David Letterman (1993–1997) and performed on the soundtrack for The Commitments. He has played with ensembles including the Irish Wind Ensemble and the Irish Youth Jazz Orchestra, and with artists such as Prince, Bryan Adams, Billy Joel, Ronnie Wood, James Brown, Elton John and Rod Stewart.
