Biography
Felix Dexter (26 July 1961 – 18 October 2013) was a Saint Kitts-born British actor, comedian and writer. He moved with his family to Surrey, England, at the age of seven. After studying law at University College London and beginning training as a barrister, he turned to comedy, performing at venues including Jongleurs and The Comedy Store.
Dexter first gained prominence in the 1990s BBC sketch show The Real McCoy. He later appeared as a regular performer on The Fast Show and in series including Absolutely Fabulous (as John) and Citizen Khan (as Omar). His other credits include the 1998 BBC adaptation of Vanity Fair (as Samuel), Jonathan Creek and voice work in Mongrels.
He also wrote and starred in comedy pilots and performed stand-up. Dexter died in London aged 52.
