Biography
Fiona Brands is a film and television editor. Originally from Germany, she completed a bachelor's degree in editing picture and sound at the ifs internationale filmschule Köln in 2012 and a master's degree in editing at the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield.
Her early work includes the short film Wild Horses (2017), which premiered in the Cinéfondation selection at the Cannes Film Festival. She received the Filmstiftung NRW Award for Best Newcomer Editing in 2016 for The Ballad of Ella Plummhoff. Brands has edited episodes of the series Slow Horses (2022–), Truelove (2024) and Ten Pound Poms (2023), as well as the feature Layla (2024).
