Biography
Florence Sundstrom (1918–2001) was an American actress. She began her career on Broadway in the 1930s and appeared in numerous productions until the late 1950s, creating roles including Bella in Anita Loos's Happy Birthday (1946), Bessie in the original production of Tennessee Williams's The Rose Tattoo (1951), and Mrs Marie "Fatty" Pert in Look Homeward, Angel (1957).
She made her film debut as Flora in the 1955 screen adaptation of The Rose Tattoo. Sundstrom remained active as a character actress in American film and television into the 1990s, with appearances in The Vagabond King (1956), Pacific Heights (1990) and series including I Dream of Jeannie, Bonanza, The Streets of San Francisco, Family Ties and JAG.
