Biography
Frances Starr, also credited as Frances Grant Starr, was an American stage, film and television actress. She began her career in 1901 with a stock company in Albany, New York, and signed with producer David Belasco in 1906. Her stage work included appearances in productions such as The Rose of the Rancho (1906) and The Easiest Way (1909).
Starr appeared in a small number of films, including The Star Witness (1931), Five Star Final (1931) as Nancy (Voorhees) Townsend, and This Reckless Age (1932). She later made guest appearances in early television series such as Studio One and The Ford Theatre Hour from the late 1940s onwards. She died in New York City in 1973.
