Biography
Francine Racette is a Canadian actress. She was born on 23 September 1947 in Joliette, Quebec, and graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada in 1966.
She appeared in films including Four Flies on Grey Velvet (1971), Mr. Klein (1976) and Au Revoir les Enfants (1987), in which she played Mrs. Quentin. Racette received a César Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Lumière (1976). Her final film role was in 1987 and she later retired from acting.
Racette was married to actor Donald Sutherland until his death in 2024 and is the mother of three of his sons: actors Rossif Sutherland and Angus Sutherland, and Roeg Sutherland.
