Biography
Franco Ceraolo is an Italian production designer and art director. Born in Cerveteri on 3 May 1955, he trained at the I Liceo Artistico in Rome and began working in film on experimental projects before taking on set decoration and assistant roles.
From 1984 he collaborated extensively with Dante Ferretti on films including Ginger and Fred (1986), The Name of the Rose (1986), Hamlet (1990) and Kundun (1997). He later worked as production designer on One Hundred Steps (2000) and The Best of Youth (2003), both directed by Marco Tullio Giordana, as well as other Italian features and television productions.
