Biography
Frank Beascoechea was an American cinematographer and occasional television director. Born in San Francisco, California, on 15 October 1934, he entered the motion-picture industry in 1959 and became a director of photography in 1975 while working at Universal Studios.
He served as director of photography on the series Kojak (1973), Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (1979), Galactica 1980 (1980) and The Equalizer (1985), as well as the feature No Holds Barred (1989) and numerous television films. Beascoechea was also credited as a director on episodes of Hart to Hart (1979) and Beauty and the Beast (1987).
A member of the American Society of Cinematographers from 1982, he died in California on 6 September 2016.
