Biography

Frank Beetson Jr. was an American costume designer and wardrobe supervisor. Born Frank Cazzeau Beetson on 30 June 1905 in Rye, New York, he died on 2 June 1990 in Riverside, California.

He worked extensively in Hollywood on Western and period films, often credited in the costume and wardrobe department. His credits include wardrobe designer on The Searchers (1956), wardrobe master on The Horse Soldiers (1959) and Oklahoma! (1955), and costumer on The Alamo (1960), where he was also technical supervisor. Other films include McLintock! (1963), Nevada Smith (1966) and Cheyenne Autumn (1964). He provided costume supervision for the television series The Invaders (1967).
