Biography
Frank Mula (20 January 1950 – 2021) was an American television writer and producer. Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, he was raised in South River and earned a master's degree from Rutgers University. In the late 1970s he moved to California to pursue a career in comedy writing.
He wrote for series including Madame's Place, Grand, Cosby and The Simpsons. For the latter he also worked as producer and won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Animated Program. Mula created the series Local Heroes, which ran for seven episodes in 1996. He wrote the Simpsons episodes "I Love Lisa" (1993), "The Last Temptation of Homer" (1993) and "Faith Off" (2000).
