Biography
Frank Rollmer was a French film producer active in the 1930s. He co-produced Grand Illusion (1937), directed by Jean Renoir, with Albert Pinkovitch for the production company Réalisation d'art cinématographique (RAC), which he ran alongside Alexandre Pinkéwitch and Albert Pinkéwitch. The film was the first foreign-language production nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
The nomination at the 1939 Academy Awards was awarded to the production company as a whole, as individual producer credits were not recognised until 1950. RAC's other productions included Jenny (1936), La Marseillaise (1938) and Ramuntcho (1938).
