Biography
Fred Kohlmar (1905–1969) was an American film producer. A former agent, he worked as an executive assistant to Samuel Goldwyn before entering production in the late 1930s. He produced films primarily for 20th Century-Fox, Paramount Pictures and Columbia Pictures.
His credits include The Glass Key (1942), The Dark Corner (1946), Kiss of Death (1947), The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947), Picnic (1955), Pal Joey (1957), Bye Bye Birdie (1963) and How to Steal a Million (1966). Picnic received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. He was the son of actor Lee Kohlmar.
