Biography
Frédéric Thoraval is a French-American film editor. Born on 18 February 1973 in Lorient, France, he began his career in the French film industry in the early 2000s, working on productions associated with Luc Besson before taking lead editing credits.
His early feature credits include District B13 (2004). He has edited numerous action, thriller and horror films, among them Taken (2008), From Paris with Love (2010), Safe (2012), Sinister (2012), Peppermint (2018), The Black Phone (2021) and The Gorge (2025).
Thoraval received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing, as well as BAFTA and ACE Eddie nominations, for his work on Promising Young Woman (2020).
