Biography
Fredi Devas is a British director and producer of wildlife documentaries. He began his career as a researcher on Frozen Planet (2011) and as assistant producer on Wild Arabia (2013).
Devas directed and produced episodes of Planet Earth II (2016), including the “Cities” instalment, and later directed episodes of Seven Worlds, One Planet (2019) and Planet Earth III (2023). He has also directed Antarctica (2020) and the feature documentary How to Live on Earth (2026).
He has received Emmy nominations for his work. His father is an architect, which informed his approach to filming urban wildlife.
