Biography
Freya Hannan-Mills is an English actress, writer and director. Born in 2004 in Wallasey, Merseyside, she first gained national attention in 2017 as a young playwright when her play Mushy Peas and Battered Bits was performed by Jude Law at the Lyric Hammersmith. She began acting in television with a role in Doctors (2017) and appeared in the series Whitstable Pearl (2021) as Chloe Mills.
Hannan-Mills established a screen career from 2024, with roles including Robin in Here After (2024), Maggie Bradley in Ellis (2024) and Alice Haynes in the miniseries The Cuckoo (2024). She played Eliza Shakespeare in Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet (2025) and Nina in Swimming Home (2024). She has also written and directed several short films.
