Biography
Fritz Heinrich Rasp (13 May 1891 – 30 November 1976) was a German film actor. He appeared in more than 100 films between 1916 and 1976. His roles included The Thin Man in Fritz Lang's Metropolis (1927), Meinert in Diary of a Lost Girl (1929), Peachum in The Threepenny Opera (1931), and Walt Turner in Woman in the Moon (1929).
Rasp trained at the Theaterschule Otto Königin in Munich and made his stage debut in 1909. He worked in early films with director Ernst Lubitsch and was frequently cast in villainous or shady parts during the 1920s. He also appeared in Edgar Wallace adaptations in the 1960s.
