Biography
G.R. Aldo, also credited as Aldo Graziati or Aldo Rossano Graziati, was an Italian cinematographer. He began his career in France as an actor before working as a still photographer for nearly two decades and progressing to assistant cameraman and camera operator.
His first feature as cinematographer was La Terra Trema (1948) for Luchino Visconti. He subsequently worked with Vittorio De Sica on Miracle in Milan (1951), Umberto D. (1952) and Stazione Termini (1953), and with Orson Welles on Othello (1951). He died in a car accident in November 1953 while shooting Visconti's Senso (1954).
