Biography
Gabrielle Ruiz is an American actress. She is best known for portraying Valencia Perez in the CW musical comedy-drama series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2015–2019), initially in a recurring capacity before becoming a series regular.
Born in Edinburg, Texas, Ruiz trained in dance from a young age and graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance in 2007. Prior to her television work, she appeared in several Broadway productions, including In the Heights and the revival of Evita.
Her other television credits include guest roles in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2013), Orange Is the New Black (2016) and Modern Family (2019).
