Biography
Gaia Violo is an American television writer, creator and executive producer. She earned an MFA in screenwriting from UCLA.
Violo created the Prime Video thriller series Absentia (2017–2020), on which she also wrote. She wrote episodes of the Netflix series In from the Cold (2022) and the CBS series Blood & Treasure (2019). She created the Paramount+ series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (2026–), for which she also serves as writer and executive producer.
She is a winner of the UCLA Writers Showcase and the Samuel Goldwyn Writing Award, and was named a Variety ‘100 to Watch’ honoree. In 2025 she signed with management company Anonymous Content.
