Biography
Gary Magness is an American film producer and businessman. Born on 26 February 1954 in Texas, he is the son of Bob Magness, founder of the cable company Tele-Communications Inc. With his wife Sarah Siegel-Magness he co-founded the production company Smokewood Entertainment in 2007.
His producing credits include Tennessee (2008), Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire (2009), Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer (2011) and Crazy Kind of Love (2013). Precious received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture.
