Biography
Gary Markowitz is an American television writer and producer. Born on 21 May 1950 in Los Angeles, California, he is the stepson of Larry Gelbart, creator and original executive producer of the series MASH*. He began contributing to the show while at college, writing or co-writing five episodes between 1974 and 1979.
Markowitz also wrote episodes of Alice (1978), ALF (1986) and Eerie, Indiana (1991). He created the series United States (1980) and Fast Track (1997–1998), and worked as a producer on Elvis (1990) and Eerie, Indiana.
