Biography
Gavin Emerson is a British film producer. He trained on a production course at the Royal College of Art and has produced shorts, documentaries and commercials.
Emerson met director Lynne Ramsay at the National Film and Television School graduation screenings in 1996. He produced her short films Kill the Day (1996) and Gasman (1998), as well as her feature debut Ratcatcher (1999). He later served as co-producer on The Backwoods (2006) and produced the short Chalk (2011).
He received BAFTA nominations for his work on Ratcatcher.
