Biography
Gene Hong is an American television writer and producer. He grew up in the Pittsburgh area of Pennsylvania, graduated from North Allegheny High School in Wexford and from Allegheny College in Meadville.
Hong began writing for sitcoms, including an episode of Community (2009). He later wrote for Bones (2005), Lethal Weapon (2016) and Magnum, P.I. (2018), serving as writer and producer on several of these series. He also wrote an episode of Beef (2023). Earlier in his career he appeared as an original cast member on the MTV series Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'n Out.
