Biography
Gene Laufenberg is an American television writer, producer and director. He began his career as a story editor on the animated series Duckman (1994–1997), later serving as writer and producer on the show, for which he received an Emmy nomination.
Laufenberg wrote episodes of Pinky and the Brain (1995), Clueless (1996) and Family Guy (2002, 2005), and worked as a producer on Family Guy (2001–2002) and Clueless (1998–1999). He wrote and directed the short film Sunday's Game (1999). He later earned a master's degree in clinical psychology and became a licensed marriage and family therapist in California. He has also written for later animated series including Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese (2019–2024).
