Biography
Gene Ranney was a television editor whose career spanned more than four decades. He worked on numerous network series, including Kojak (1973), McCloud, The Fall Guy, Cover Up, 21 Jump Street and The Commish, for which he edited 45 episodes between 1991 and 1995.
He began in the entertainment industry at age 17 in a mailroom position and later edited for studios including 20th Century Fox and Universal Studios. His credits also include episodes of Automan, Manimal, Stingray, Wiseguy and Nowhere Man.
