Biography
George Fanto (1911–2000) was a Hungarian-born cinematographer. He worked in several countries and settled in Brazil, where he contributed to films for the Cinédia studio.
Fanto collaborated with Orson Welles on the unfinished documentary It's All True (1942), shooting the "Jangadeiros" segment in Brazil. He later served as one of the cinematographers on Welles' Othello (1951) and received credit on the 1993 reconstruction It's All True: Based on an Unfinished Film by Orson Welles.
