Biography
George Mendeluk is a German-born Canadian film and television director, writer and producer of Ukrainian descent. Born on 20 March 1948 in Augsburg, Germany, he began working in Canadian film and television in the early 1970s.
His television directing credits include episodes of Miami Vice (1984), Night Heat, The New Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Young Riders, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Highlander: The Series, Andromeda, Relic Hunter, First Wave and Due South. He has also directed numerous television films.
Mendeluk directed the 2017 feature film Bitter Harvest, a period drama depicting the Holodomor famine in 1930s Ukraine, on which he also served as writer and producer. Earlier feature credits include Stone Cold Dead (1979) and Meatballs III: Summer Job (1986).
