Biography
Georges Géret (also credited as Georges Geret) was a French actor. He was born in Lyon in 1924 and died in Paris in 1996. He began in amateur theatre before moving to Paris, where he was noticed by director Léo Joannon. From 1959 he worked with the Théâtre National Populaire under Jean Vilar.
Géret appeared in over 80 films between 1954 and 1992. He is known for roles including Joseph in Diary of a Chambermaid (1964), Pinot in Weekend at Dunkirk (1964), Raymond Sintes in The Stranger (1967), the baker in Is Paris Burning? (1966), and Nick in Z (1969). He also worked in television, including the role of Abbé Carlos Herrera in the series Splendeurs et misères des courtisanes (1975–1976).
