Biography
Gerald Scarfe is an English satirical cartoonist and illustrator. Born in London in 1936, he has worked as political cartoonist for the Sunday Times for many years and as an illustrator for the New Yorker.
Scarfe provided graphics for Pink Floyd, notably on their 1979 album The Wall, its 1982 film adaptation and the associated tour. He also created the opening titles for the BBC series Yes Minister and Yes, Prime Minister (1980–1987). He served as production designer on the Disney animated feature Hercules (1997), designing characters and influencing the film's visual style.
