Biography

Gerald Shepard was a film and television editor. He co-edited Five Easy Pieces (1970) and worked as editor on eleven episodes of the television series The Monkees (1966–1968). He also served as associate producer on the series and directed two episodes.

Shepard began his career in the 1960s. He directed, produced and wrote the screenplay for Heroes Die Young (1960). Later credits include editing the television movies Blood Sport (1973), Roll, Freddy, Roll! (1974) and Christmas Comes to Willow Creek (1987).
