Biography
Geraldo del Rey (29 October 1930 – 25 April 1993) was a Brazilian actor. Born in Ilhéus, Bahia, he studied dramatic art at university in Salvador.
Del Rey appeared in key Brazilian films of the 1960s. He played Bonitão in The Given Word (1962), directed by Anselmo Duarte, and Manoel in Black God, White Devil (1964), directed by Glauber Rocha. He also took the lead in A Grande Feira (1961) and worked with Portuguese director Paulo Rocha in Change of Life (1966) as a fisherman returning from the war in Angola.
He appeared in around 65 films and television productions between 1950 and 1992.
