Biography
Gérard Barray (2 November 1931 – 15 February 2024) was a French actor. Born in Toulouse, he trained at the Cours Simon drama school in Paris after earlier studies and a period performing jazz in nightclubs.
He became known in the 1960s for swashbuckling roles, including D'Artagnan in The Three Musketeers (1961) and appearances in the Pardaillan films, Scaramouche (1963) and the Surcouf adventures. Later credits include The Witness (1969), Le Cinéma de papa (1971) and a return to screen work in Open Your Eyes (1997) as Duvernois and Sexy Beast (2000) as a Spanish official.
