Biography
Gerry McLaughlin is a Scottish actor and comedian. He was born Gerard McLaughlin on 13 February 1981 in Rutherglen, Glasgow, and later changed his name to Gerry after moving to Manchester to attend university in 2000.
He began his career pursuing work as a rock singer and television presenter before being cast in Channel 4 series including Shameless (2004) as a reporter and Accused (2010) as a foreman. McLaughlin has appeared in numerous BBC comedies such as Burnistoun (2010–2019), Still Game, Only An Excuse? and Scot Squad. His dramatic credits include Outlander (2014) as Constable Boyle and Agatha Raisin (2016) as PC Billy Tulloch. He is also a stand-up comedian who has performed at the Glasgow Comedy Festival.
