Biography
Gerry Renert is a writer and producer. He began his career writing and producing television commercials, which led to opportunities writing sitcoms.
He wrote episodes for The Bob Newhart Show (1973) and MASH (1974). He co-created the animated preschool series ToddWorld (2004–2008) and served as executive producer; the series received three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Animated Children's Program. He received a Writers Guild of America award for his contributions to series recognised among the top 101 in television history. In 2016 he co-wrote and produced a short film for Sesame Street*.
